C.I.D. (Crime Investigation Department) is an Indian crime detective series created, written and directed by B. P. Singh for Sony Entertainment Television India and Sony Entertainment Television Asia. The series, which premiered on 21 January 1998. Is the longest running television series in India, having completed sixteen years in 2014. Due to the popularity of the show, SET has decided to give their viewers a chance to enjoy the series thrace a week. From 11 April 2014, the channel exclusively dedicate the show from Friday-Sunday in the time slot of 10 PM IST to 11 PM IST.
